Angostura 5 year old dark rum is a voluptuous blend of molasses-based, continuous distilled rums aged in charred American oak bourbon barrels for a minimum of five years. The rum is filtered but its deep, copper/honey brown hue remains intact. Angostura 5 year old dark offers an enticing bouquet of creamy aromas of vanilla, chocolate, spice and oak. The rum itself is packed with toasty, bakery like notes that dance over the palate with flavours of chocolate, honey, toffee and caramel. The flavours persist on the palate for an extended amount of time, eventually tapering off into a classic rum finish.
A marvelous anejo made
from a blend of light and heavy, molasses-based rums aged for a minimum of
8 years in charred American oak bourbon barrels. Angostura 1919 rum
possesses a rich, golden-amber hue with excellent clarity. The rum exudes
a complex bouquet brimming over with aromas of cocoa, molasses, caramel
and vanilla.
It is remarkable soft and well rounded as the rum glides over the plate
without a hint of harshness or biting edge. Within moments it opens up,
revealing a generous and long-lasting array of toasty flavours. The finish
is warm and very relaxing.

the ancient craft of Caribbean distilling. It has an individual style
totally unlike mondern commercial rums. Only a few hundred bottles will
ever be sold. But the partners of Bristol Spirits will continue to seek
out these unique rums, for connoisseurs of one of the World's finest
distilled spirits. The Single Still is the vessel in which fermented sugar
cane is gently heated to produce rum. Every still is different, and each
gives its own flavour. Here begins a long process, including ageing in oak
casks, which produces, in very small quanities, something of unusal
pleasure and interest to the appreciative palate.

Versailles Rum is
distilled in the heart of Guyana, east of the Demerara River. Here, in the
days when this was made, they used, uniquely, two different pot stills,
alternatively feeding one condenser. This ancient process gives Versailles
its definite and different style. This Rum was distilled in 1984, and
shipped to England, where, in small oak casks, it lay maturing in
traditional cool, damp cellars until it was bottled, in 1999, at the
optimum strength of 46% (92 US proof). It shows best as an aperitif, when
it offers a delicate floral nose, after which pleasing citrus and toffee
flavours come through on the palate.

Coyopa is made from
sugarcane gathered during the great Crop Over Festival of Barbados, the
annual celebration of the sugarcane harvest. The cane is pressed and the
molasses is mixed with fresh spring water that is naturally filtered
through fine coral. After distillation, the rum is aged ten years in oak
casks. During this time, Coyopa gains its character and depth. Created by
liquor legend Sidney Frank, Coyopa is made in the state-of-the-art R.L.
Seale Distillery of Barbados. Originally a sugar factory, the Seale family
converted it into Barbados’ premiere rum distillery. While the Seale
Distillery continues the rich tradition of rum making, its modern design
allows it to create the best rum imaginable without harming the
environment and the island’s natural beauty.

Bally was one of the
first distilleries to elaborate Single Cane Rums in Martinique, thus
seeking the highest quality. Drawing his inspiration from an ancestral
technique stemming from the greatest and finest spirits like Cognac, the
house founder, Jacques Bally had, in 1917, the idea of letting his rums
age in oak casks. This wood sustained ageing process gave them an amber
color and the delicate fragrances that only time can grant. The craft
methods perfected by Jacques Bally such as the adjustment of the
distillation columns, a secret jealously kept by the cellar-master, the
quality of oak barrels and casks, preserved at every stage of our rums'
elaboration. Simply to let you taste what is probably one of the best rums
in the world.

15 year Solera
Blend. Known as the "Cognac of Rums", Matusalem Gran Reserva is
a full bodied rum with a praline essence and a spicy oak finish.
Originating in 1872, Cuba. Rated 94 by The Beverage Tasting Institute of
Chicago in 2002
Packaged in a
specially designed decanter, this limited-edition blend of Mount Gay
Distillery's oldest & finest stocks is a memento of Mount Gay Rum's
first three hundred years. This edition is limited to 3000 bottles
worldwide. The very special blend is composed of rums coming from 3
exceptional vintages - 1969, 1974, and 1976
Appearance Its deep amber colour is its reward after years of
maturation in toasted oak. Once awakened by the swirling of the glass, the
dark golden liquid makes its return trip, down the side of the vessel with
coarse long "legs", revealing its high viscosity; again the
result of perfect extraction of the vital ingredients of the barrel over
years of paitient rest.
Aroma Rich notes of smoked American White Oak, with aromatic barrel
tonalities of vanilla, bitter almond, light spices and nutes in a complex
but well-balanced combination of fruity elements; notably the full-bodies
fragrance of prune, the light tartness of tamarind and the sweetness of
banana and apricot.
Taste Blended using the time-honoured formula of Eclipse, this
product, with its full-bodied, almost syrupy texture brought about by
extensive aging, possesses a rich intensity of smoked notes, oak
character, bitter almond and a sweet, fruity character which are the
hallmarks of a long and worthwhile contact with wood as some rums in the
blend dating as far back as 1969.
Rémy Amerique has
re-launched its Mount Gay "Extra Old" Rum. Packaged in a new
embossed bottle with a cork finish and a foil capsule, it is a blend of
single and double-distilled spirits selected from Mount Gay's aged rum
reserves in Barbados. The rum is aged in charred-oak barrels, giving it a
lightly smoked and rich oak character.
Rum and the sea are
inseparable, and no rum is more akin to the sea and the seaman than is
British Navy Pusser’s Rum. For more than 300 years, sailors of Great
Britain’s Royal Navy were issued a daily ration of rum by the Purser
(corrupted to "Pusser" by the Jack Tars). From 1655 to 1970
"Pusser’s Rum" was one of the few daily comforts afforded
those early seamen of Britain's Navy as they fought across the globe to
keep the Empire intact and its sea lanes open.
British Navy Pusser’s Rum is the same superb blend of five West Indian
rums as served on board Their Majesties’ ships for three centuries.
Today, it is still blended in accordance with the Admiralty’s exacting
specifications of 1810.
Pusser’s Rum was never sold or offered to the public, and if a rum
connoisseur managed to acquire a tot or two, he saved it for a very
special occasion. It is said by connoisseurs to be more like a fine brandy
than a rum, with a full, rich flavor and a smoothness which are
unsurpassed. It is a sipping rum, which, of course, may also be mixed. Its
full mellow flavor comes through anything you might mix it with. Either
neat or mixed, you will notice and enjoy the full, rich flavor of
Pusser’s rum.

Decanters had their
beginnings in the early naval sailing ships, and it would have been an
exception to have found a captain's cabin without one - from the smallest
to the largest vessel. This decanter has been designed and produced by
Pusser's Ltd., bottlers of British Navy Pusser's Rum. For more than 300
years, Britain's Royal Navy dispensed a daily issue of Pusser's Rum on
board their ships. The U.S. Navy followed the same custom until its rum
issue was abolished in 1914. However, the Royal Navy's tradition continued
through July 31st, 1970, on which day the last "tot" of Pusser's
Rum was drunk officially on board Her Majesty's Ships. Until recently,
Pusser's Rum was not available to the public. Now with the Admiralty's
permission, this superb rum is offered commercially in glass bottles and
in a Royal Navy ceramic ship's decanter. The Royal Navy Sailors' Fund, a
naval charity, benefits from the sale of the rum and the decanters. It was
suggested that Pusser's should undertake a similar project for a U.S.
naval charity, from whence the "John Paul Jones" decanter
project had its beginning. Consequently, the U.S. Navy Memorial Foundation
receives a significant donation from the sale of each U.S. Navy &
Marine Corps Decanter. The next time you purchase a bottle of rum, we ask
that you try our British Navy Pusser's Rum, sometimes alluded to as
"Liquid History." Its quality and rich, distinctive flavour are
unsurpassed. It's our hope that you'll enjoy our rum, and the beauty of
this decanter, for many years to come.

The "Pistol"
bottle and blend are similar in flavor to the Planters Gold - Pyrat XO
Reserve. It is slightly lighter in body and very drinkable. The Pyrat

English sailing ships. It makes a great fun gift. The Pyrat
"Pistol" size is presented in branded wooden boxes of six Pyrat
"pistols".

Sea Wynde a rum most
rare. Only aged pot still rums from Jamaica and Guyana are used to create
this remarkable spirit. The casks are individually selected and carefully
married to achieve a rum of great complexity and superb quality. This
costly and time-consuming process has been used by British Royal Navy rum
brokers since 1700 to create their finest rums. Sea Wynde has a bouquet
and flavor that are unique and immensely satisfying. One sip will spoil
you for all other rums.
St. James Royal
Amber Rum - Wars, discoveries, pirates, colors and adventures : our
imagination is full of stories mixing legends and reality. In Martinique
since 1765, the Rum Saint-James finds its roots in a real story that
nourished a legend. Therefore, you can find a bit of history, a bit of the
Caribbean in each bottle of Rum Saint-James.
A delightful,
smooth-sipping rum, that owes its unique character to a lengthy time-honoured
process. First we make a "flavour rum", distilled in copper
kettles from the juice of sun-drenched sugar cane, and then carefully
blend it with our golden "smoothing rum" which has been aged in
oak casks to gentle perfection. The result: Westerhall Plantation Rum - a
supreme rum, celebrated by all who try it.
